Architecture of Dhandeeswarar temple - part 2

Surrounding the core structure housing the inner sanctum, there is a considerably spacial courtyard lined with plants and shrines. The shrines include those for the Nayanars - the shaivite saints, assorted Shiva Lingams including Vaidheeswarar and others, Meenakshi - the consort of Shiva, the Navagrahas - the nine planets, one for the serpant goddess etc.

Of course, like all Hindu temples, Dhandeeswarar temple also boasts a tall Vimana that appears to be plated with copper and engraved with Lord Muruga among other imagery.
